Cartier’s golden age
Louis Cartier’s designs were the hallmark of a French jewelry company that gained prominence and prestige in the early twentieth century. His designs incorporated Oriental motifs and geometric styling with diamonds and colored stones in platinum settings. His designs were often bold and unusual, and many of these pieces were unheard of at the time.
In 1615, Cartier traveled to the American continent and made contact with Native Americans. These encounters provoked hostility among the local First Nations people. As a result, he was not awarded any new royal commissions and spent his last years on an estate near Saint-Malo. His most famous voyage, however, was his exploration of the St. Lawrence River, which he had been unable to reach by sea until he reached the city of Roberval in France.
In the 1920s, the company’s fauna department was wildly successful, bringing the brand to the top of the jewellery industry. In particular, the company’s panther motif, which originally appeared in an advertising card from 1914, became the company’s most famous motif. It was also widely used in advertising, vanity cases, brooches, and other pieces. Jeanne Touissant, known as the “Petite Panthere” and creative director at Cartier until the 1970s, helped make Cartier’s panther jewellery a must-have for every jewellery collection.
Mystery clocks also became a popular addition to Cartier’s collection. In 1913, J.P. Morgan Jr. purchased the company’s first mystery clock. Queen Mary received one of her own in 1924, while Hermann Goering purchased a model with an onyx base in 1940. Stalin was given a lapis lazuli model in 1945. King Farouk is also the proud owner of an octagonal mystery clock that dates from 1926. A few other models were produced with Oriental-style faces.

Price of ring
Cartier’s Juste un Clou collection is coveted by fashion fans around the world. Created in the 1970s by Aldo Cipullo, this collection is known for its screw detailing. The Juste un Clou ring, also known as “Just a Nail”, is an exquisite piece of 18k pink gold set with 77 brilliant-cut diamonds. Its design is subtle yet stunning, and it slips delicately on the finger. Its retail price is $9850.
The 18-carat rose gold ring features contrasting pink gold ends and a wrap-around design. To choose the appropriate size, measure your finger’s circumference in mm. It’s best to measure your finger when it’s not too hot or cold, so you can make sure the ring will fit over the entire length. Because two hands are different in size, it’s important to measure the ring size that comfortably passes across the entire finger.
Design of ring
This ring is made of 18k rose gold and set with 22 brilliant-cut diamonds. The total weight of the stones is 0.40 carat. The ring is available in sizes 52 and 53. In addition, the carat weight and number of stones can be customized. The ring also comes with a certificate of authenticity. Originally designed in New York during the 1970s, the Juste un Clou collection reflects the free-spirited era that characterized the 70s. The jewelry is avant-garde and audacious, highlighting the precious qualities of everyday objects.
The Juste un Clou jewelry line was created by Aldo Cipullo, who had an affinity for hardware. He once said that his second home was a hardware store. The collection was released by Cartier in the ’70s, and later re-issued as a ring and bracelet in the ’80s.
