Chaumet has adapted over the years to meet changing tastes and trends

Chaumet has launched a new calibre of watches in the past two years. The company’s headquarters is located at 12 Vendome. In recent years, Chaumet has exhibited internationally, including in the Forbidden City in Beijing in 2017, the Mitsubishi Ichigokan museum in Tokyo, and the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. During these exhibitions, over 300 pieces of jewellery and artworks were on display. The collections explored the Maison’s history, its creations from yesterday, and the styles and trends that define its fashion.

In 1885, Joseph Chaumet married Marie Morel, the daughter of a famous Parisian entrepreneur. He continued to make watches in the Renaissance style, but drew inspiration from Japanese art as well. In 1907, Chaumet set up workshops on 12 Place Vendome. Since the late 18th century, Chaumet has evolved its production to include timepieces and other precious jewelry. The brand has partnered with other Swiss watchmakers to produce some of its most iconic products.

The Josephine collection, for example, was inspired by the Empress Josephine, Chaumet’s first major client. The piece was created to crown the wearer’s femininity. Another recent Chaumet collection reflects Chaumet’s love of nature. The collection re-embraced the bee motif, which evokes a garden.
