Cartier’s golden years

Cartier’s Golden Years were marked by an impressive array of fine jewelry pieces. The firm was founded by Louis-Francois Cartier in Paris in 1847, during the period of the second empire and the abdication of King Louis Philippe. It initially faced difficult financial times and intense competition. However, as the firm continued to create and perfect fine jewelry, the firm became a world-renowned high-end jewelry manufacturer.

Cartier’s career was marked by the development of many new techniques. In 1541, he traveled to the island of Mount Royal, where he met Iroquois people. On the island, he spoke with the Iroquois about the wealth of the west and the “Kingdom of the Saguenay.” The next year, he returned to the Saint-Charles river to find relations between the Iroquois and French had become more bitter. This made him fear an early winter.

After a long journey, Cartier finally returned to Quebec, Canada. King Francis was pleased with his findings and decided to provide funding for a second voyage. After two years, Cartier was able to return to Canada, but he was not able to settle permanently. Afterwards, he died in Saint-Malo, Brittany, leaving Roberval’s colonists to abandon the idea of permanent settlement in Canada. It would be another 50 years before France would once again show interest in North America.

The Cartier collection was never small. There is a vast collection of pieces that highlight the company’s golden years. The firm had a great range of unique pieces and served as the official jeweler to fifteen royal families. Many of these pieces are on display in the company’s showrooms.

While Canada was never fully colonized, the French had a long presence on the continent, and Cartier was one of the first Europeans to make landfall in the New World. There are a number of other Europeans who had first-hand contact with the indigenous people. However, Cartier was the first European to penetrate the interior east of the St. Lawrence River.

The expedition encountered harsh winter conditions and earned the enmity of the Iroquois people. However, the French were able to capture their chiefs when the river had melted. Cartier’s reports also indicated that great riches lay in the interior, including a great river 800 leagues long that could eventually lead to Asia.

The company expanded its business worldwide under the leadership of Alfred’s sons. They brought in Jeanne Toussaint and Charles Jacqueau to work for the company. In 1907, Cartier signed a contract with Swiss watchmaker Edmond Jaeger to exclusively supply movements for its watches.

In October, Jacques Cartier left his headquarters on the Sainte-Croix river to travel to Hochelaga. From there, he embarked on a small craft to the Iroquois village of Saint-Pierre. His goal was to find a northwest passage to Asia. The Iroquois had already named the land kanata, and Cartier used this term to describe it.

Cartier’s after-sales care

This Juste un Clou ring from Cartier features a style that is similar to a nail wrapped around the finger. Set with 77 diamonds totaling 0.59 carats, it measures 1cm across at its widest point and weighs 5.1 grams. It comes with a Cartier presentation box and service papers.

Cartier’s nail collection

Inspired by the structure of nails, the Juste un Clou collection at Cartier comprises rings, bracelets and earrings. The pieces range in price from $2,175 to $34,650. Initially released during the 1970s, the collection embodied the rebellious spirit of New York and reflects the brand’s attempts to appeal to a younger clientele.

There are currently 22 designs available, ranging from the early twentieth century to the present. These pieces of jewelry can easily elevate any outfit. The pieces are available in 18k Gold and Yellow Gold and are available in antique, vintage and modern forms. Whether you want to wear a classic look or a bold one, a pair of these nails will enhance your look.

The 18K yellow and pink gold nail design is available separately and in various incarnations. Some of the styles are adorned with diamonds while others feature more intricate patterns. Like the JUC bracelet, the nail rings can be worn with a shirt or on your finger. It’s a fun way to express your unique personality.
