Cartier Les Oiseaux Librs Ring – Rose Gold Onyx Emeralds N4746200

This ring is an elegant addition to any woman’s jewelry collection. Cartier’s “Flora and Fauna” collection exudes energy, strength and freedom. Made in the Cartier Coral jewelry factory, this ring is an elegant way to display your personality.

Cartier’s tutti frutti collection

The “Tutti Frutti” collection is the crown jewel of Cartier’s jewelry line. This elegant, colorful collection has assorted diamonds, rubies, and other precious stones set in band settings. The necklace was completed in May 1963 and contains 594 diamonds, 8 rubies, and thirteen sapphires. It was worn only once by Ms. Fellowes, who later passed the necklace on to her daughter Emmeline de Casteja.

The Tutti Frutti collection was inspired by the jewels Cartier had acquired. The jewels were designed to be reminiscent of the traditional jewelry of India, including intricate flower motifs. The gemstones were set in platinum, which evoked the look of the ancient Mughal era.

The Tutti Frutti collection influenced many jewellers after its introduction. Paul Flato, a master of Art Deco jewellery, was one such designer. He was known for his extravagant designs and used bright coloured gemstones in his creations. Paul Flato often referred to his designs as “wiggly jewels”.

The Tutti Frutti collection was influenced by a trip to India in 1911 by Jacques Cartier, the brother of founder Pierre Cartier. While in India, he became educated in carving gems and was fascinated by the depth of colour found in Indian gems. He took his new knowledge of carving stones back to France and further refined the design. His main focus was on showcasing the colours and textures of gemstones, and the tutti Frutti collection was relatively inexpensive compared to other Cartier pieces.

The Tutti Frutti collection also showcases pieces from Cartier’s Art Deco designs. The motifs were inspired by motifs and designs found in nature and textiles. The motifs were then combined into unique new styles. The result was a fusion of two styles that celebrated the expanding world.

The Tank watch

The Tank watch is a classic watch designed in the style of a military tank. It is crafted of 18k rose gold and onyx with 72 brilliant-cut diamonds. Its unique design is inspired by the tanks of World War I.

The mystery clocks

The mystery clocks by Cartier have a unique and beautiful aesthetic. Inspired by the illusionist Jean-Eugène Robert-Houdin, these clocks are a visual tour de force. The hands appear suspended in the air, seemingly disconnected from the mechanical movement. In actuality, the hands are set on a circular crystal disk with a toothed edge and are driven by a hidden movement in the base and sides.

The mystery clocks were designed by Louis Couet and were inspired by the works of the illusionist Jean-Eugene Robert-Houdin. Inspired by this man, they were designed in such a way that the mechanism behind the dial remains hidden. As a result, the mystery clocks have been called “clockmaking miracles.”

The Mystery Clocks from the Cartier Collection are remarkably beautiful pieces of jewelry. These stunning pieces are made of gold, platinum, and rock crystal. They are studded with diamond chips and are fashioned with mother-of-pearl marquetry. Many of these timepieces are now available as one-of-a-kind works of art and are part of the Cartier Collection. Besides the regular pieces, the brand also offers limited edition pieces for special exhibitions.

The history of the mystery clocks reflects the changing tastes of the modern world. The first mystery clock, the Model A, was made in 1914, was purchased by Henri Count Greffulhe, the husband of Countess Elisabeth. It later became the prized possession of Evelyn Walsh McLean, a mining heiress and socialite.

The Flora and Fauna collection

The Cartier Flora and Fauna collection explores nature from a new and unique perspective. The collection takes inspiration from a variety of species, from flowers to predatory animals. As a result, the designs are highly stylised and hyperreal, but still retain the essence of nature.

The Oiseaux Liberes pendant is a striking example from the Flora and Fauna collection. The pendant is made of 18k white gold and is set with diamonds and emeralds. It’s a symbol of hope and optimism, as the bird opens the door of its golden cage and takes flight. It was designed in 1942 and sells for CDN$67,500.

Cartier has long used nature as a source of inspiration. It’s no wonder then that the Flora and Fauna collection is an important addition to the jewellery company’s repertoire. Inspired by the wild world around us, these jewels are more than mere adornments – they’re statement-making objects. While the Cartier Flora and Fauna collection is centered on nature, it also incorporates themes of audacity, curiosity, and freedom.

Creating the Flora and Fauna collection has been an exciting endeavor for the French luxury house. The new collection showcases seven rings that are evocative and invite people to explore the world’s diversity and beauty. With a unique palette of colors, shapes, and materials, this collection is truly a delight for the senses.
