Cartier’s Tutti Frutti collection

The Tutti Frutti style gained popularity during the 1920s and 1930s. The famous American singer and heiress Daisy Fellowes commissioned a Tutti Frutti necklace from Cartier in 1936. She later sold the necklace at auction for $2,655,172, making it the most expensive Tutti Frutti jewel ever sold. The necklace is now in the Cartier Collection.

The inspiration for the Tutti Frutti collection comes from the Indian subcontinent. Cartier took the vibrant colours and striking carved gemstones from the subcontinent and incorporated them into their designs. Cartier’s Tutti Frutti pieces paid homage to Mughal decorative art and were inspired by Indian jewellery. Queen Alexandra commissioned one necklace from the Tutti Frutti collection for herself in 1902. Her consort, Mary Curzon, had three Indian dresses made for her, and she wanted to wear them.

The Tutti Frutti style was also an inspiration for other jewellers. French master Paul Flato, known for his flamboyant designs, was another influence. His Tutti Frutti inspired designs featured brightly coloured carved gemstones and abstract shapes. Flato preferred to call his designs “wiggly jewels”.

In the 1920s, Cartier created the Tutti Frutti collection that became one of their most popular motifs. It reflected the changing attitudes of society, and became a staple in the Art of Cartier. In the 1920s, exoticism was the rage and a fashion trend. Europeans were fascinated with the precious gems of India and the Mughal tradition of carving stones.

The Tank watch

Inspired by military tanks from World War I, the Panthere de Cartier necklace is made of white gold with diamonds. It features a screwed-in bezel and a square face adorned with 189 brilliant-cut diamonds. The pendant’s length is 11.4 mm and it measures 33.6 mm in width. The size of the pendant can vary due to the number of stones and the carat weight.

The Love bracelet

The Cartier Panthre de Cartier Love bracelet in white gold features an elongated bangle, a modern twist on a classic style. The love motif is an iconic symbol of free-spirited love. The lock-and-key clasp and screw motif offer multiple interpretations and allow for a unique expression of feelings.

The Cartier brand has been around for over 150 years and is best known for popularizing the men’s wristwatch. Founded by Louis-Francois Cartier, the Cartier family has a rich history of elegance, royalty, and luxury. King Edward VII of England even crowned Louis Cartier ‘Jeweler of Kings’ and ‘King of Jewelers’.

A Cartier Panthre de Cartier bracelet can be an elegant and classic accessory to dress up any look. The bracelet can cost as little as $5300 and can go up to $212,346. On average, the price for a Panthre de Cartier bracelet is about $34,592.

It features a graceful interlacing of curves and plays with light and shadow.

If you’ve always wanted a Cartier necklace, this is the one for you. This stunning necklace features white gold diamonds and a carved panthere motif. Cartier is a luxury jewelry house with a storied history. It is the most well known brand in the world and its pieces are revered all over the world.

The necklaces are decorated with diamonds, onyx, and emerald eyes.

The emblematic panther first made an appearance in Cartier jewelry in 1914. The brand was a pioneer in taming the panther, and was also an inspiration for artists such as Jeanne Toussaint. Since then, the panther has inspired a timeless collection of jewelry and elegant timepieces. In this collection, a diamond-set panther pendant adorned with tsavorite garnet eyes is a highlight. A classic 18K yellow gold panther necklace with black lacquer spots and diamonds is another classic item in this collection.
