Torsade de Chaumet
One year after the renovation of the hotel particulier at 12 Vendome, the French jewellery brand Chaumet pays homage to the historic address and its mythical square with a new high-jewellery collection. Inspired by the sweep of the frieze adorning the Vendome column, this collection reinterprets the traditional twist (torsade in French), a Chaumet signifier, in an ode to movement and life.
The collection features ring, bracelet, collier, broche and boucle d’oreilles in white gold and diamonds or coloured gems. Each piece in the collection captures the dynamism of the twist, a classic design element that exemplifies the savoir-faire, creativity and jewellery excellence of the House of Chaumet.
A true ode to movement, the Torsade de Chaumet ring forms a spiral of diamonds poetically suggesting the frieze of the Vendome column. The creation is articulated, making it comfortable and flexible when worn. The different diamond cuts offer a perfect reading of the volumes and curves of the twist.
As a tribute to the Chaumet blue, this ring features 5 cushion-cut sapphires for 7.96 carats from Ceylon, baguette-cut sapphires, rose-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds. The majestic cushion-cut sapphires from Ceylon have been chosen one by one for their extraordinary aura. The virtuoso creation achieves the feat of freezing the vivacity of a movement in gold and stones.
